Gospel Sense Fronteres travels to Mumbai to conduct music workshops
From April 15 to 21, five members of the organization will travel to India to bring the Gospel to the beneficiaries of our projects.
The Gospel Sense Fronteres solidarity project has joined forces with Mumbai Smiles this year to collaborate in our fight against human trafficking. In one of the actions of this collaboration, five members of GSF will travel to Mumbai to learn about all our projects and teach singing workshops among our beneficiaries.
Gospel Sense Fronteres began its journey in 2006, following the foundation The Gospel Viu Choir, with the aim of defending the rights of children. Their idea is to collaborate for an entire year with a social entity to focus all their efforts on it through concerts, activities, workshops and international cooperation projects. After performing many activities together, this year, at Mumbai Smiles, we are lucky to have their experts from their team who will be in India from April 15 to 21. Thus, they will have the opportunity to learn first-hand about our anti-trafficking projects and bring the energy of their music to the communities where we collaborate.
Moisés Sala, along with other members of the choir, will conduct Gospel workshops to some of our projects. They will be in the “access to school” and Smiling Bus projects of Shivajirao School, Wilson School and in the communities of Chheda Nagar, Shyam Nagar Bhandup and Bhim Chaya Nagar Vikhroli. Additionally, they will spend a whole day with the trafficking survivors who live in our Udaan shelter. The idea is to bring spiritual music of African American origin to the most vulnerable communities through these workshops so that, in the words of Moisés Sala, “the music generates transformative, positive and vital energy.”
