A wonderful exchange!

 In Sensibilización

This is how the visits to our projects have been this August!

These last few weeks we have been lucky enough to meet fantastic people, who have wanted to dedicate part of their trips to better understand where we work, with whom and what we do in the city of Mumbai to combat poverty. We want to tell you how these experiences have been:

The first week we have the visit of a lovely family. A special visit since Alicia and Albert came accompanied by their two-and-a-half-year-old daughter, Abril, and we don’t usually have such young visitors, which we love. They came from Pune to meet our Smiling Bus, they really wanted to meet us. Abril’s enthusiasm had no limits. She loved visiting a kindergarten, she participated in activities and shared some of the songs that she had learned last year. It was a memorable and loving visit!

We have also met Marc, who already has a connection to India, as his father supports the work of organizations operating in India. Marc wanted to know first-hand the reality of the most disadvantaged communities and slums, and see how we demand compliance with human rights and equal opportunities. The day of his visit was the Rakshabandhan festival, in which the love between brothers and sisters is celebrated with a bracelet. We did not want to miss the opportunity to strengthen our friendship with him and Marc also received his bracelet from the hands of the little ones in one of our nursery schools.

And finally, Núria and Cristina, a nurse and a teacher with whom we shared some wonderful hours. Their interest, Their way of addressing our students, Their questions, were very, very interesting.

Each of these visits has also represented an opportunity for our students to get to know realities different from their own and people involved in building a better world. A wonderful exchange!
