Thank you for your help in Nepal!

 In Nepal, we have worked since 3rd November,to cater to those first needs caused due to the devastating earthquake of 6.4 magnitude in the entire country.

After the earthquake we told you that we had about 50 beneficiaries in the areas where it had had the greatest impact. Women with whom we work at the community center for the women who are sexually exploited in the Thamel area, and who had traveled to visit their relatives on the occasion of the Dasain festival, the longest and most auspicious festival in the Nepalese calendar. These are very poor families who were left in a more vulnerable situation by this natural disaster.

We have raised €3,681. And with this money we have been able to HELP them:

Two members of our team flew from Kathmandu to the nearest city in the affected area, called Nepalgunj.
We bought the materials in that city: rice, legumes, soybeans, oil, salt, tents, blankets, towels, hygiene products, etc.

Getting to the area was not easy due to the state of the roads, but with local help we managed it.

Once we arrived with the communities we saw that it was necessary to increase the number of blankets and warm clothing for children and adults. As well as some medications.

We also found it very necessary to offer psychological help and the sessions began on November 21.

There is a long way to go to rebuild the lives of these people, but we have been able to help around 1,280 people with this emergency action. Once again we want to remember and offer our condolences to the families of the deceased and missing people, and accompany them in their feelings. With your support we will be able to continue advancing our work in this country, in which we have begun to operate months ago and of which we already feel part.
