Family of 3 from Spain visits Mumbai Smiles
The Responsive Action team recently organised a half day visit for a family of three lovely people from Spain. On their trip to Mumbai as a tourist, they decided to make a quick stop at Mumbai Smiles Foundation and take a look at our projects.
Maria, Andre and Andres, on their visit at Mumbai Smiles visited one of our preschool education centres where they enjoyed playing with the kids in their game time. Afterwards they also went on a home visit to meet two of our ex-LSE beneficiaries and interacted with them. And the last part of the visit was a meeting with one of our SHG (Self-Help Groups) women. They were very happy to see how our various projects are interlinked and how these projects help our beneficiaries holistically – be it the Preschool project helping the children grow mentally as well as physically, our teachers being from the slum communities itself or our SHG women benefiting financially themselves, at the same time providing nutrition to the preschool kids!
Before the end of the visit, they expressed their joy at having visited our projects and met the citizens themselves that gave them an insight into a different reality of Mumbai and we are thankful to them for having extended their love and support to us!
