Diwali celebrations with HOPE beneficiaries

Last week one of our posts was about the birthday celebrations at our partner hospital, Holy Spirit Hospital for our HOPE beneficiaries. HOPE, being the psycho-socio support project for children suffering with cancer, pan India, organises events periodically in order to motivate and encourage these children to fight the cancer from their mind and soul with their positive energy.

Some of the events are Champion of the Month, Birthday Celebrations, and Drawing Competition etc and this time, we celebrated Diwali with the children by making Greeting cards!  20 excited young kids, of whom 15 were our HOPE beneficiaries and the rest, their siblings, made some beautiful greeting cards on the occasion of Diwali. This event was organized as a continuation of the Birthday celebration itself and hence, the excitement and the zeal in the air were unbeatable!

Monika, one of our regular visitors from Spain and a professional clown, on her third trip to Mumbai Smiles was also present on this occasion and performed some of her amusing clown routines full of fun and laughter for the children.

Of all the greeting cards made by the children, Tanvi and Shreya were observed to be the really creative ones. In fact Tanvi even gifted her greeting card to Monika!

A fun filled evening indeed for all of us Mumbai Smiles, and more events to come up in near future as well!
