Strategy Meet for Immunization Camp

As part of the health activities organised by our Maternal & Child Health project for the pregnant and nursing mothers of our project areas, an immunization camp has been planned for the pregnant women and new born babies against the common viruses and diseases. But before that it is important to organise an internal strategy meet for the same with all the organisations involved to ensure smooth functioning of the same on the day of the camp.

The upcoming camp is going to be possible thanks to the support of World Health Organisation and Mumbai Municipal Corporation. And so, this strategy meet was organised by the representatives of the same, including the Deputy Municipal Commissioner (DMC), and was attended by the team of MCH project, Community development officers, medical officers, doctors etc, who will be a part of the immunization camp, in which the DMC shared with us the information on the national immunization programs, policies, strategies and effectiveness.

The meet was a success with a dry run for the camp. With heavy interaction and exchange of ideas and information, we also discussed the important role that NGOs play in mobilizing the communities for spreading awareness about the need and effectiveness of the available policies and strategies related to public health. And after a successful strategy meet, we are now ready for the camp, the news of which we will share with you as well!
