269 screened at Blood Test Camp

In Awareness, Events, Health, Infectious Diseases, Mumbai Smiles

The Infectious Diseases team recently organised a free health camp in Ashok Nagar, Saki Naka, which is an area close to our office in Andheri East. Focusing on HB (haemoglobin) and RBS (Random Blood Sugar) testing of the citizens, this camp also did a general health check up of all the beneficiaries who attended the free camp.

With the support of a medical team from the Mumbai Municipal Corporation, including Dr. Jayant Gawade, Dr. Shrutika Sawant, a nurse and 10 volunteers, the camp was successful in screening a total of 269 citizens. Of these 269, while 72 were male, 197 were female, all including adults as well as children of the area.

While the reports of the blood test shall be provided to each of the citizen later once they are ready, each of them were happy to receive a one-on-one counseling on how to keep one’s health good generally, by way of healthy eating habits and maintaining hygiene at all times.

We sincerely thank the team of doctors for their support in making this camp a success and also to the local community leader for logistical support, without which this camp would not have been possible!
