Saint jordi’s day and a new beginning

 Mumbai Smiles works in the slums of Mumbai and our office is based out of Marol, Andheri East. Sonrisas de Bombay is the parent organization at Spain that has set up the Mumbai Smiles operations in India, in order to help alleviate poverty in the slums of Andheri East.

23rd April was indeed a very special day in Mumbai Smiles/Sonrisas de Bombay for various reasons:

• We celebrated World Book Day in Spain. We also encourage you to buy and gift the books of Jaume Sanllorente that explains the Project of Mumbai Smiles. • To celebrate Saint Jordi’s day, people in Barcelona and Tarragona flocked to the stands to buy the solidarity roses made by the beneficiaries of the SEED Project.

• Jaume Sanllorente was present at the stand in Barcelona to sign his book.

• Last but not the least, we presented our new campaign nueva campaña (web;Facebook; Twitter) and hope that you will help us in spreading the word about it so that more people will come forward to support our project – “They smile, you make it happen!”

We continue to embark our journey towards creating a model of a just society, which is free of poverty and where people live with equal rights and opportunities
