Budding Entrepreneurs!!!

To promote entrepreneurship among women , Mumbai Smiles laid the foundation for “Tailoring and Craft Centre” one year back. Eight women were part of this initiative. They were already trained in our regular Tailoring course after following a screening procedure comprising of interview and practical examination. Last year they produced Laptop covers, iPad covers & Sling bags made of cotton cloth material in small numbers.

This year the number of women has increased to 12 and today they are more confident in making products. In the pictures below you can see women making small cotton wallets. These women will be making some more marketable products over a period of three months time.

It is an initiative to promote entrepreneurship among women so that they have  a sustainable source of income.
