Medical Kit for HOPE beneficiaries

 In Events, Health, Mumbai Smiles

The HOPE project recently organised a medical kit distribution activity for our beneficiaries in Wadia Hospital, one of our medicare partners who help us with treatment of children suffering from cancer. To ease out mental and financial stress on the children with cancer as well as their parents, the Hope project often organizes activities and events to create not only a comfortable environment for these children but also create awareness about the tertiary needs and requirements to cope with the disease, such as maintenance of good diet and hygiene.

This activity is one of the very same to distribute medical kits that include some of the very essential daily use items including a toothpaste, anti-bacterial soap, anti-bacterial liquid hand wash among other items, which are very crucial to use to avoid any kind of infections.

A total of 100 kits were distributed to our beneficiaries in our partner hospital and the parents were very happy about it since it reduces financial burden on them! This was also a way to celebrate children’s day with these children in a practical way, by distributing essentials, instead of food items or games. And we thank our donors for their support to us in kind and in cash for us to be able to conduct such activities!
