Jaume, our founder, makes a 2 day visit to India!! – Day 1

Jaume visited India in the month of February 2014.He stayed here from 6th -7th of February. During his two days stay, he met three project teams of Mumbai Smiles – The Hope Team, Balwadi team of Marolpipeline and the SEED project team. Besides meeting with the Project teams, he also took out time to visit Yashodhan School. Jaume has some very old memories attached to this school since the very first development work that he took up in India was with Yashodhan School. He met the Hope team and the Balwadi team on the first day, whereas the meeting with SEED team and the visit to Yashodhan school happened the next day.

While meeting with the Hope team, he got a chance to meet Vighnesh, our champion of the month and many other beneficiaries of Hope Project. He was extremely elated to meet the beneficiaries and their parents and applauded the efforts of Mumbai Smiles team. Parents themselves were very encouraged to meet the founder of Mumbai Smiles and thanked him for all the support that he has been continually providing.

After meeting with the Hope team, he continued with his schedule and visited the 2 balwadis in Marolpipeline area viz. Balwadi No 2 and Balwadi no 5. At Balwadi no 2, he interacted with the students, participated in various games and recited poems with them. At Balwadi 5 however, there was a drawing session being held when Jaume arrived. Jaume immediately got involved with the students, helping them select and pick various colors. Both the teachers and the students were delighted to see the founder and felt motivated after meeting him. Students were all the more excited since they got a chance to meet a person from a different culture.
