At Mumbai Smiles we believe in the goodness of people and their desire to give back to the society. Hence through our volunteering and internship program we provide every opportunity to skilled and dedicated volunteers to use their skills for the benefit of the communities. During our 10th year celebration, Nalin Singh was one such volunteer who joined Mumbai Smiles with the same zeal. Nalin volunteered with Mumbai Smiles during the month of March. His assignment involved developing the Milestones souvenir for Mumbai Smiles’ 10th year celebration. The assignment required him to research about the milestone events of Mumbai Smiles in the last 10 years. He collected information from old documents, publications, videos, blogs and individual interviews with the team members. He then compiled the data along with the Communication Officer in the form of a souvenir booklet which was released as a part of the 10th year celebration. Apart from his outlined assignment he also helped in various activities during the 10th year celebration like managing the registration desk on the Opening ceremony, compiling event reports and updating social media for the solidarity dinner. His willingness to contribute was exceptional and hence he was open to being a part of all the activities at work.
Nalin Singh shared his experience of working with Mumbai Smiles as “Volunteering at Mumbai Smiles has been a rewarding experience for me. I have gained a lot out of my stint here. I have been able to use my skills and knowledge to the best of my abilities. At the same time, the atmosphere at Mumbai Smiles is very healthy because of which I have been able to contribute to the best of my ability.”
