VISION for a better Vision!!!

Eye camps play a very crucial role in detecting early errors in vision and restoring them before it leads to blindness. Widely it has been witnessed that the underprivileged communities ignore minor defects in vision which ultimately leads to blindness because of lack of awareness on the subject.

On 26th June 2015, 3rd Diabetic Retinopathy  and eye camp was held in Marol Gaon, Andheri East. It was organized with the motto of creating awareness and early detection of eye disorders, refractive errors and other eye ailments. This was conducted in collaboration with Aditya Jyot Foundation, Mumbai Smiles & Yash Foundation. A total of 103 community people were screened as an outcome of which 10 were detected for cataract evaluation, 9 for further evaluation of eye ailments and 73 with refractive error. This will be followed by spectacles distribution, consultation for other eye ailments and cataract surgeries.

Mumbai Smiles strives towards providing quality services in eye health by detecting errors at an early stage. We conduct eye camps  by creating awareness for detecting early symptoms for the same and getting it cured.  “Prevention is better than cure”.
