SKILL INDIA Campaign launch by Prime Minister!!!

 In Mumbai Smiles

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch today the “Skill India Campaign” on the occasion of World Youth Skills Day. He will formally launch the National Skill Development Mission, unveil the new National Policy for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship 2015 and roll out on all India flagship scheme, Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojna (PMKVY). It will bring the different schemes and policy structures under government working with the motto of promoting and enhancing skills in India, work in a more synchronized, effective and outcome oriented manner.

India is a developing economy but it has the highest potential of growth since it has huge youth population. But it can only be tapped if the youth is skilled. At present there is a huge need to bridge the gap between demand and supply side. This is the motto behind huge emphasis by our honorable Prime Minister on synergizing the efforts of all the stakeholders involved in skill development for a better outcome.

Mumbai Smiles is also a part of this great initiative through its Skill Development Project – SEED. We emphasize on imparting quality skills training to underprivileged young girls and women though our tailor-made short term modular courses in employable and self employable courses. Through this project we focus not only on job oriented courses but also on self employable courses like Tailoring, Beautician and Handicraft; thus promoting entrepreneurship among women.

We believe that skilled India will be a better India!!!
