Infectious Diseases Project conducted a free of cost medical health check-up camp at Vikhroli Park site wherein 36 children, 34 males and 74 females were examined as the general objective of the project is improved health care and health protection with regard to infectious diseases through community intervention and support. It also act upon spreading awareness about infectious diseases and health care facilities in the community and strengthen early disease detection and response.
The general health check up of the patients was done by Dr. Bharati Bawdane (MBBS) and Dr. Ghansham Mourya(BHMS). Medicines were also provided to the patients that needed them. An interaction was done with the community people making them aware of health care. As always, a patients record was maintained for further follow up. The camps also help in detecting the hidden cases in the community as the can be referred for better healthcare and treatment before its late.
The camp was great of success as all the people in the community were able to get treatment and medicine from the doctors.
Mr. Kalpana Kailas Londhe from Vikroli Park said, “This was good health camp for me as I got proper information, check-up and medicine from the doctor”.
I like how awareness about Health Care was a part of this Medical Check-up!
