Gurutze visits Mumbai Smiles

There is only one corner of the universe you can be certain of improving, and that’s your own self.” – Aldous Huxley
The new Glances project at Mumbai Smiles aims for the same. Awareness is knowledge and knowledge is power, hence with greater awareness of social norms and problems arises better understanding and lasting solutions. With this project, we aim to raise awareness nationally and internationally about the situation and life conditions of millions of people living in the slums of Mumbai and hence, enable these people become more aware about the situations of the world and their surroundings, thereby allowing them to introspect and work upon improving their environment.
One such visitor who recently became aware was Gurutze. She visited Mumbai Smiles
in the month of February and had a chance to view the progress of many of our projects. This is what she said after her stay with us:
“I am currently in Mumbai, working as a volunteer for a nonprofit since the last few months. However, the reason I came to Mumbai is Mumbai Smiles. Years ago, my gave made me read Jaume Sanllorente’s inspiring story and after reading the book, I knew that one way or the other, I would be coming to Mumbai to view the amazing projects Jaume started 10 years ago.
Finally, after all these years, I got an opportunity to visit Mumbai smiles and view some of the ongoing projects.  I must say that I am fascinated by all these projects and the positive impact they have on so many lives. Thank you for building a better world. The work you are doing is invaluable and inspirational for all of us. I look forward to helping you in every way I can. All the best!!” – Gurutze
