Emotional Gifts and the 10th year celebrations in Spain

Two countries; one goal, two countries; one emotion! 10 years of celebrating the joy of empowering the slums of Mumbai, Mumbai Smiles in Spain brought all its well wishers together for Smileywood. The celebrations began with bringing the Indian emotions to all our Spanish donors, partners and collaborators in the form of an ‘Emotional gift’. The gift consisted of a sheet with hand prints of our beneficiaries as a way to thank the continuous support from them.

The rationale behind delivery a gift of that sort was to connect the grounds across the two nations. It was a way in which the beneficiaries could reach out to acknowledge the efforts by the collaborators and the collaborators got an opportunity to experience the immense joy that their support has spread among many families in India. All the beneficiaries across all the projects participated in making the gifts. More than 3000 emotional gifts were delivered from India to various collaborators in Spain. The beneficiaries enjoyed making the gifts. The program officers coordinated with several beneficiaries and timely managed to conduct the activity.
