Distribution of Sanitary Napkins by SSRI Club, Sophia College for Women

An interesting and an inspiring event took place at Mumbai Smiles office; the SSRI Club girls from Sophia College initiated a campaign wherein they collected sanitary napkins to be donated to the LSE beneficiaries. These girls went out of their way to collect these; from buying cupcakes to selling them and collecting the money to buy the sanitary. The girls responsible for organising this drive were Ananya Priyadarshi, Krishi Saraogi and Ashna Agarwal.

They came down to the office and personally handed them over; giving them an opportunity to also meet the beneficiaries. They spoke about its proper usage and disposal and made the girls aware of the necessity of using a sanitary. Their enthusiasm to associate with Mumbai Smiles for such a good cause reflected in their donation. No wonder, even with a target of 75; they managed to collect more than 200 sanitary napkins for the girls. Kudos girls!
