Portescap employees visit Balwadi to distribute Diwali Chocolates

Diwali is considered to be the celebration of light, love and prosperity. It is one of the biggest festivals in India and we at Mumbai Smiles believe in sharing our happiness and spreading joy through giving. Among all the joy and festivities, we should not forget to spread the virtues, which this festival brings with itself.

With the same objective, we shared our joy with our Balwadi children through chocolates since we believe that children should be the first receivers of such joy and virtues. Chocolates were distributed among 700 balwadi students and teachers. Portescap, an organisaiton based out of Andheri East, partnered with us for distributing chocolates among the children. The same organisation collaborated with us last year during the “Joy of giving week” and is also associated with our Girl Child Education initiative and Balwadi Project.

The joy and enthusiasm on children’s faces as they received Diwali chocolates from Portescap employees was palpable. For students and their families, the joy of sharing festivities and enjoying a celebration in the way it should be enjoyed is a special feeling. The feeling of joy was apparent all around and the entire atmosphere at the Balwadis was filled with enthusiasm and happiness.
