Beginning of a new decade

Mumbai Smiles began its journey in 2005 with a simple dream to support underprivileged children, in a selected number of Balwadis with support from Spain. Since then, we have helped hundreds of children to gain access to quality educational opportunities clubbed with other developmental activities. Over the years, we have built an effective, entrepreneurial and passionate global team, and a foundation for scalable programs. From Balwadis to HOPE, Girl Child Education to Life Skills empowerment, the last decade saw our flagship programs scaling new heights and new projects reaching out to various sections of the society. We envision a Mumbai free of poverty and social injustice, whereby all its citizens can equally enjoy the most basic human rights.

2015 marks a decade of our existence and we embark our journey into a new decade with a new spirit and desire to continue to uplift the slums of Mumbai. In the last 10 years, Mumbai Smiles has grown to reach out to 35000 households, 2700 pregnant and nursing women, 775 children below 6 years of age, 500 adolescents and 600 women in the slums. To celebrate 10 years of our existence, we are organizing a solidarity dinner at Orchid Hotel, Vile Parle (east) on 11th April. Thanks to the Orchid Hotel team for helping organize this event and being our hospitality partner.
