The HOPE project and its interventions are holistically designed to address the Financial, Psycho-social, Emotional, Nutritional and Diagnostic need of underprivileged children with Cancer, aged 0 to 18 years. Affordability, accessibility and utilization of the health facilities are directly proportional to the socio-economic status of the family. Children with Cancer need psycho-social support. Most of the cancers are curable. However, many children still lose their lives due to lack of comprehensive medical care. The HOPE project envisages giving importance to comprehensive care.

On 27th Feb 2015, a Dry fruit distribution event was organized by the HR team of Courtyard Marriott hotel to distribute dry fruits among 20 Hope beneficiaries. Mr. Narendra Kumar (EDI, Mumbai Smiles) warmly welcomed all the members and thanked Ms. Deepika and her team for organizing such an event. He also briefed about Mumbai smiles and its projects.

After introduction by Ms. Deepika, she and her team interacted with the Hope beneficiaries. She felt satisfied as she felt she got an opportunity to do something good for children with cancer. Many entertainment activities followed the introduction too – Our beneficiaries Vandana sang a Bollywood song and Riddhi recited a nursery poem.

Towards the end of the event, Project Officer Supriya, gave a vote of thanks to the Marriott team for arranging the event. Beneficiaries thoroughly enjoyed the event. It was the fourth such event that was organized by Courtyard Marriott Hotel for our Hope beneficiaries.

Thanks to the Marriot Hotel HR team for organizing such an event that brought smiles on so many faces!
