“It is amazing that in the 21 st Century there continues to be a scourge on this planet called poverty, but it is more incredible that we do nothing to eradicate it. Each and every one of us should go through this world making it a better place. There is only one possible response to inequality, injustice and poverty: take the appropriate action to eradicate them.

Sonrisas de Bombay was born to contribute to a better world with the firm purpose of peacefully fighting against poverty in the city of Bombay and its surroundings, advancing so that all the citizens of this city and its peripheries can enjoy their most basic human rights. As long as there is only one poor person left in this part of India, we will continue working tirelessly. Someday we can see, joyful, a Bombay free of poverty and injustice. Then we will marvel at contemplating a true transformation and we will think, in our hearts, that a little of it was thanks to our action”
