Volunteer spotlight: Rajashree Rao

 In Mumbai Smiles

18 JAN I

Today, we’d like you to meet one of our newest volunteers, Rajashree Rao.
Rajashree Rao is one of a group of volunteers who is offering English language tutoring to some of our Future Smiles beneficiaries.
Some of the older beneficiaries of our Future Smiles education and career guidance programme are put up in a hostel and are studying at the university level.
While they are doing well in their studies, their English language skills are not as good, as they have not had the opportunity to learn well.
So, to help them cope better and improve their skills, we’ve arranged for a group of five volunteers, all of whom are employed at Mondelez International (parent company of Cadbury), to come in on weekends and spend a few hours tutoring the students.
Rajashree has been coming in for a few weeks now, and you can see her hard at work in these photos.
Rajashree has 23 years of work experience with multinational companies and is currently a senior executive of service delivery with Mondelez International.
About her experience till now, Rajashree says, “My experience has been great. I found the activities are very well organised, and the coordinators are very well connected with each one of us.”
We are glad you are enjoying this experience, Rajashree, and we thank you so much for your help!
