Health Camp for HPV (Human Papilloma Virus) screening

Ms Varsha Usgaonkar is an Indian film actress from Goa, who has worked in various Bollywood and Marathi movies as the leading lady.  Ms. Varsha Usgaonkar was the most popular actress in Marathi cinema. Ms. Varsha Usgaonkar is regarded as one of the most successful and influential Hindi and Marathi movie actresses of all time.

Ms. Varsha Usgaonkar attended the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) screening camp for the underprivileged women including Mumbai Smiles SEED project beneficiaries for early detection and prevention of cervical cancer. This free HPV screening camp was organized by Mumbai Smiles on 15 October in collaboration with Cancer Patient AID Association. (CPAA). Over 100 women benefitted from this camp and suspected cases would be advised further investigations and treatment.

Ms. Varsha’s comments were “Was very pleased to meet everyone at Mumbai Smiles. That you are touching the lives of so many needy is commendable. Please keep up the good work.”

On the request of Narendra Kumar , the Executive Director India, Mumbai Smiles, she has agreed to lend her support for various projects of Mumbai Smiles and also accepted to visit to the Balwadis as well as the other projects implemented by Mumbai Smiles in the slums of Mumbai.
