Follow up on eye screening for Balwadi Children

Eye camps were conducted for the Balwadi children to check their eyesight. This was done in association with the Aditya Jyot Hospital. It is important that for any medical camp, there is a proper follow up that is done to ensure that those who were screened and require attention and taken care of. Keeping this in mind, the follow up was done for the Balwadi children as well. There were 21 children who were detected with eye related problems during the eye camp. As a follow up measure 9 of these children were taken to the Aditya Jyot Foundation hospital, Dharavi where further tests were done on the 26^th of October 2013. The remaining children will be taken during the course of the month.
