Beneficiary spotlight, Future Smiles: Rashmi Narayan Rasam

Meet Rashmi Narayan Rasam, a beneficiary of the Future Smiles education and career guidance programme.

Rashmi is doing a Bachelors in Commerce (B.Com) and is in her third year of studies at SIES College in Sion, Mumbai. She is also doing her final year of Charted Accountancy.

Rashmi is a bright girl whose academic performance till now has been excellent; she scored 64% in her Second Year B.Com examination and 92% in the Chartered Accountancy entrance examination.

Rashmi comes from a poor family, whose total income is Rs. 7000 per month. This is too meager to meet the family’s day-to-day requirements and the increasing expenditure of Rashmi’s studies. Her father is a driver and her mother is housewife.

But, Rashmi has not let her family’s means and background become a hurdle in her academic performance and has continued to excel.

Rashmi deserves support from Mumbai smiles. She wants to become a Chartered Accountant, and, with her abilities, focus on her studies and strong conviction, we believe that she will attain her long-cherished dream.
