Balwadis add a new flavor to their teaching methodology

In the month of October 2013, Tara, a resident of Ireland, visited Mumbai Smiles. On her visit to India, she also brought 11 teaching aid kits with her.Each kit contained 40 different items such as alphabets, colours, shapes, numbers etc. The kits were distributed among various balwadis throughout Mumbai viz. Balwadi No. – 1 to 7 in Marol, Balwadi no. 9 &11 in Sangharsh nagar, Balwadi no. 20 in Powai and no .22 in Kanjurmarg. The respective teachers in the Balwadis were trained to use these kits. Their training went on for a couple of days. These kits now facilitate the teachers at Balwadis in educating the students more constructively and productively.

In fact, even children find it much more convenient to learn through these aids. They are able to retain and recall much more information through such means. This method of teaching further enhances the mental development of students and makes the entire learning process more engaging and pleasurable for them.
