A new life for Sangam!!!

 In Mumbai Smiles

24 JUL I

We are happy to share another milestone for the Hope Project which transformed the life of Sangam Pandey; one of our Hope project beneficiary.

Despite undergoing grueling chemotherapy the brave 17-year-old Sangam had her right leg amputated below her hip region in March this year.

Now Sangam Pandey is independent and no more dependent on others for support, Sangam is able to walk nicely and can do all her work independently.

We thought it was going to take a long time to raise the money for a new prosthetic leg, but the support from Ms. Susmita Mitra , representative of CPAA (Cancer Patient Aid Association) made this  happen in weeks time. Thank you Supriya (Field Coordinator for Hope project) for your great commitment and follow up.  Dr.Nirmal, Unit Head Health is highly appreciated for his excellent network and coordination which shows up in cases like this.

We can’t explain how much this means to us and Sangam. It is a privilege to support Sangam and, with this new leg, we hope she will continue to be determined to remain active and live life to the fullest in future.

In the picture above you can see Sangam standing on her feet with prosthetic right leg attached in place.
