Meet our intern – Sujaya Rai

 In Mumbai Smiles

17 april 1 Sujaya is currently pursuing her part time MBA in Social Entrepreneurship from NMIMS University.  As part of her course, she was required to undergo 50 hours internship with an  organization. To fulfill this requirement, she decided to intern with Mumbai Smiles for a month.

She desired to make a difference in the area of vocational trainings for women. Thus, we allocated her to our livelihood project, SEED. During her internship, Sujaya was given the task of completing  case studies of 30 beneficiaries of this project. This required her to visit the field, interview the women (SEED beneficiaries), and prepare respective case studies.

The subject and goal of this assignment were:

Subject: To throw light on our SEED project. We wanted to demonstrate how our SEED Project has been successful in creating a difference among the lives of underprivileged women -women who once had no hope for the future. Today they are stronger and ready to face the challenges of life.

Goal: To set an example for those who read this collection of stories. This will further contribute meaningfully to Mumbai Smiles in tangible ways. Moreover, this document will be an evidence of our commitment to SEED Project.

Her work shall be incorporated in a book that will consist of the success stories of all these beneficiaries. The tentative name of the book is ‘Milestones of SEED: Vision, Inspiration, Action & Impact’

Sujaya successfully completed this task of preparing the case stories of 30 women. She was extremely dedicated as she worked long hours and did not hesitate to undertake any extra task that was required to successfully complete the case studies. Her remarkable contribution to the organization within a short span of time will always be appreciated.

Thank You Sujaya for your contribution!!
