“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others” – Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi

Vasvi Aren, who has just passed out of college, is a perfect example of the statement above.  Having completed her graduation from K.J Somaiya a couple of months ago, she has just secured her career with a multinational corporation. Before she started working at the MNC, she had about a month in hand and desired to utilize it in the best possible manner. Her instinct was to volunteer with an NGO, where she could gain a different and unique experience and leave a meaningful impact. Her pursuit for a volunteer role encouraged her to connect with Mumbai Smiles.

At Mumbai Smiles, she expressed a desire to contribute to the finance and accounts division, having completed her graduation in commerce. We are proud to acknowledge Vasvi’s insight on various financial matters. Through her knowledge and expertise, she was able to contribute substantially to various activities such as making Financial Guidelines, HR and Audit Reports, NGO Guidelines etc.  In fact, the head of our accounts and finance department, Mrs Kushala Shetty, has given us following feedback: “Vasvi is a very professional, focussed and extremely enthusiastic person. She is always eager to learn and believes in sharing her knowledge. I’m also impressed by her good cognisance of policies”

Vasvi was extremely diligent with her work and took her roles and responsibilities very seriously. She was very punctual and completed her assignments on time. She even used to work extra hours if required. We salute her dedication and willingness to contribute her time, energy and knowledge to the organisation.

We wish Vasvi all the very best for her future endeavours.
