Volunteer Spotlight: Richa Shailendra

                A Marketing professional, a foodie at heart and a writer by passion indulging in writing about food, life, travel and politics on various platforms, Richa Shailendra is a multi talented 30-year old who loves to keep her life interesting with the various activities she indulges in post her regular job. Having previously worked in NGOs like PETA and Jazz For Peace Foundation during her college years as a part-time associate, Richa has gain expertise in the field of marketing and content management for NGOs and this year, she chose to volunteer for Mumbai Smiles!

                Since the month of August, Richa has been associated with the Communication department of our NGO, where she helps us out with managing content for newsletters, annual report, social media etc. She took lead in carrying out the Digital Literacy Campaign and helped the voice of Mumbai Smiles reach out to more than 2,00,000 digital audience in a span of a week, using her blogger expertise.

                To thank her for her time that she selflessly spent with us, to spread the word about our peaceful struggle against poverty, we celebrated the International Volunteers Day with (and two other volunteers, as mentioned in one of our earlier blogs here!

                On continuing her association with us, she says, “I love to keep coming back to Mumbai Smiles. The dedication, with which all the projects are run by you guys, is so inspiring. That is why whenever I’m free, I come here to help out in any manner I can and I want to continue doing that for some more time!”
