Visitors from Italy, Spain and Belgium visit Mumbai Smiles

The New Glances project at Mumbai Smiles raises awareness nationally and internationally about the situation and life conditions of millions of people living in the slums of Mumbai. Under this project, people from all over the world visit our project sites, experience the progress and thus, leave with an indelible impression. Ever since its initiation, Mumbai Smiles has had an exceptional number of 2000+ national and international visitors from across 21 different countries.

Recently, a group of 13 visitors from Belgium, Italy and Spain planned a visit to Mumbai Smiles. During their stay, they visited the Balwadis, SEED and LSE project sites. At the Balwadis, they were extremely elated to see the kids learn numbers and alphabets at a very young age and the environment brought back their own childhood memories. At SEED, they saw the beneficiaries engaged in making greeting cards. They were impressed with their work and products and felt that Mumbai Smiles is playing a substantial role in enabling these women become independent and have their own standing in the society.

Carolina and Fernando, two of the visitors from Spain gave the following feedback:
