SEED workshop: Young Girls learn Beautician Skills

SEED, the name for skills development program, aims to equip women & girls from low-income backgrounds with tangible, marketable skills that can help them earn a proper livelihood.

In our last blog on SEED project we told you about the women getting training Retail Sales course. We are now happy to share with you that we started our fourth batch for this year in “Beautician” for the girls  and women in slums of Marol Pipeline area, Andheri (E) on 8th of April 2013. A total of 60 girls and women have got enrolled for this course.  

The training program, with sessions every afternoon from 2pm to 4pm for the 
past 5 days, has seen around 60 girls learn Beautician skills.

Here, in these photos below, you can see the orientation session for the new batch in progress wherein we share the content of the training program and the scope of that particular course for employability or self employment in future.

In the photograph above you can see one of our last year beneficiary share her experiences of training program with the curent batch. She now works at a parlour in Sakinaka in Andheri East area.
