08 APR I

As we have told you about our roses being made by the SEED beneficiaries. We are happy to share with you that we completed a big consignment of 788 roses. Three different varieties of roses have been made by the women of SEED project. While a major bulk of the consignment i.e. 629 is going to Spain to mark the celebration of the big occasion “Saint George’s Day”, the rest 159 will be gracing the beginning of a new chapter in life of a couple sharing the nuptial vows in April month of this year. The beneficiaries of the SEED project come from the slums pockets of Marol Pipeline area. They live in abject poverty and are exposed to grim living conditions. This big consignment has not only helped them acquire skills but also earn some good money which has elevated their level of confidence. These women are looking forward to many more consignments like this in future.

In the coming days they’ll be learning to make files and folders, soft toys and greeting cards. Anyone interested in buying any one of the above items and be a part of the social upliftment process can contact us at 022-29208644 or email us at info@mumbaismiles.org.
