Sangam and Jyoti come out with flying colours

 In Mumbai Smiles

05 june

Here is a story of two people who have given and passed their board exams with a first class, showing an equal determination with which they fought cancer.
The results season is over and |students are now looking forward to apply to various universities for admissions and chalking out their future path. Yesterday, we threw light on the performance of our Future Smiles beneficiaries and how they have come out with flying colors.

Today, we would like to highlight the performance of two of our HOPE Project beneficiaries, Sangam and Jyoti, who have made us proud by clearing their 10th and 12th board exams respectively with good marks. Both Sangam and Jyoti were awarded scholarship under the Future Smiles Project so that they could continue their education.

Sangam and Jyoti fought against all odds to achieve this desired result. Both have a unique story, which we would like to share with you today. Sangam belongs to U.P and didn’t attend any school. She used to stay at home and  study. At the same time, she used to travel to Mumbai for her regular check up and treatment for Cancer under the HOPE project. She appeared for her exams through external mode and managed to score a 78% in her 10th board exam.

On the other hand, Jyoti Vaish belongs to Rajasthan. She also had to constantly travel between Mumbai and Rajasthan since she is required to undergo treatment every 3 months here in Mumbai. Despite this challenge, Jyoti managed to score a 68% in Science in her 12th Board exam

We congratulate both Sangam and Jyoti on their superlative performance .They have definitely proved that hard work and perseverance are the key to success and have become an inspiration for other beneficiaries of Mumbai Smiles
