Parent Meeting at Govandi Preschool Center

Mumbai Smiles Foundation facilitates the basic education to underprivileged kids through the various pre-schools and initiatives being run and managed by the organization.

Recently Higher Education team visited our preschool centre started for street children in Govandi area and interacted with some of the parents. It was very rewarding to hear that the parents are happy to see their kids benefitting from the preschool which is being run by Mumbai Smiles Foundation. However, many parents appeared rather hesitant when it came to enrolling their kids for a formal school education after pre-school. Realising this, Mumbai Smiles stepped in to offer a helping hand encouraging parents to talk about the reasons for their hesitation.

Sachin, Program Office and Vipul, Field Coordinator of Higher Education team personally spoke to each parent to encourage them and to help them resolve their problems to avoid discontinuation of their children’s education.

The meeting went quiet well and seemed positive and we are looking forward to meet our objective of seeing kids being enrolled into a formal school education.
