The new academic year of the preschool centres began a while back. While some of the students were old ones, majority were completely new. And a new year calls for new uniforms for all our children! So the community women who are associated with our Livelihood project were more than happy to be involved in the making of our new uniforms for all our girl students.
Our Masterji, Mr. Abdul Kayoom, who has been the mentor for our community women citizens for quite some time now, is the one who designed our Preschool uniforms for girls and boys, with some new changes last year, and under his guidance this year as well, the women created the tiny little cute uniforms for all the girl children with much enthusiasm and precision. For the boys, the uniforms were purchased from outside.
With 10 women working in the livelihood centre, it took them 3 months to create about 1000 uniforms (2 for each girl child) for the 30 preschool centres and earlier this month, all these students were given the new pink uniforms!
