Need Assessment Impact Study- SEED

 In SEED

Our agenda under the SEED Project involves providing various skills training to the underprivileged ladies. Till date, we have trained 1400 women.

IMG-20160114-WA0009To understand their growth; we conducted a need assessment impact study for the beneficiaries who completed their training programme.  For this study there were 317 beneficiaries from various courses. In addition, the Balwadi Project team also assisted us in conducting survey in our geographical areas. A total of 18 staff members were a part of this study.

Difficulties we faced during this study-

1)The beneficiaries address had been changed as most of them were living on rental basis.

2)  Lack of time.

3)  Most of the teachers were not aware in the community.

4)  Sangharsh Nagar provided difficulty in finding the houses as migration ratio there is high.

However, we have managed to avert the crisis and located and conducted survey of 249 beneficiaries in 3 days.

Balwadi teachers have done an excellent and a dedicated job. We would like to mention special appreciation for Mumbai Smiles team , Amit (Monitoring and Evaluation, Sarvoparita (Unit Head-Education & Development), Priyanka (Coordinator, SEED) and Dr.Nirmal Ahuja (Unit Head- Health and Nutrition) for their constant support.
