Mumbai Smiles and the iVolunteer Awards

We are happy to announce that Mumbai Smiles is participating in the iVolunteer Awards 2012, and we need your support to win!

Volunteers are constantly contributing and positively influencing India’s social development. While volunteering continues in the background it is somehow absent from the mainstream national psyche.

The iVolunteer Awards 2012, organised by iVolunteer (a platform that connects NGOs and volunteers), aims to celebrate, reward and promote volunteerism in India by recognising the contribution of volunteers and organisations who engage them.

Above all, the awards will raise awareness around volunteering by sharing stories that ‘inspire by example’ and create an environment that will encourage more people to volunteer.

Mumbai Smiles is participating in this, the first edition of the awards, because we believe we have remarkable volunteers and a culture of volunteerism in our organisation.

But, we need your help to win.

So show your support for Mumbai Smiles by voting for us on the iVolunteer Awards site.

The top five, most popular entries, chosen on the basis of public votes, will win a direct entry to the national jury. Voting starts later today and will stay open till March 1, 2013.
