LSE Project for Girl’s Ending Ceremony

 In Mumbai Smiles

At Sangharshnagar (Powai) Municipal school on 30th March, our Life skill Education Beneficiaries got together to wind up the 2017-18 LSE education session. It was a fun filled event.  Ines Ramos (Deputy Director), Aasawari Kolhatkar (The Principal of the school), and the team members of the education dept all got together to be part of the closing ceremony. Ines and Aasawari Kolhatkar ( The Principal of the school) were the guests of honour. The event  ended on a lovely note where our beneficiaries did perform 2 plays addressing the issue of Female Feticides and Eve teasing.

Aasawari Kolhatkar, the Principal was super thrilled and did share her thoughts. “This project is hugely useful to the girls because it has build  confidence in girls.  As the girls were so keen to take this lesson, that’s why we have taken the risk to conduct the program with our students without the permission of MCGM. I am very happy to support Mumbai Smiles Foundation.”

One of the LSE beneficiaries- Vedika said,” Thank you to Jauma Sir to start the LSE Project for us. I have learnt the critical thinking, problem solving process, confidence build in myself, visited to Bank, Police Station, Hospital & carrer guidance visit etc. these learning will help me in future. Thank you to staff of Mumbai Smiles for your cooperation and supporting us.”
