LSE Boys reach Semi-Finals in Football Tournament

In Events, Life Skills Empowerment, Mumbai Smiles

The Life Skills Empowerment project is an educational project which trains adolescent girls and boys in the area of non-book education, or what we can call, Life Skills. By way of sessions on Personality Development, Problem Solving Skills, Time Management, Stress Management, Critical Thinking and many other such skills which are required in our day-to-day life are the core areas of this project.

OSCAR Foundation, our partner for LSE Boys collaborated with us to incorporate a Football model for the young boys in order to keep it physically demanding and engaging for the young male adults. And every year, OSCAR Foundation organises a Football Tournament for all its partner organizations and this year Mumbai Smiles was represented by three teams of LSE Boys!

Among the 30 participating teams, 32 LSE boys participated in three teams – Under -14, Under-16A and Under-16B. Of these three, while the Under-14 team made it to the Semi-Finals, the Under-16A team made it to Quarter-Finals with their energetic and powerful team performance.

With this event, the boys were extremely happy to be playing with other teams, belonging to different communities and not just their own, as we can very well see from the picture above!

We are extremely proud of them all!
