Life is Beautiful!!!

Today’s blog is dedicated to all the cancer survivors of HOPE project. They are real life heroes and an inspiration to all of us. The poem below holds so true for our beneficiaries; Ananya Dhanesh Mankar (9years old), Nikunj Kantilal Parmar (17years old) and Illyas (15 years old), who survived the disease.

Cancer is so limited…

It cannot cripple love.

It cannot shatter hope.

It cannot corrode faith.

It cannot eat away peace.

It cannot destroy confidence.

It cannot kill friendship.

It cannot shut out memories.

It cannot silence courage.

It cannot reduce eternal life.

It cannot quench the Spirit.

It was not easy for them and their parents to swallow the fact that CANCER was in. But strong will power and desire to live along with right medication defeated the disease. They went through loss, anger, depression but eventually discovered HOPE. HOPE for them, other cancer patients who are undergoing treatment and for every one of us who get disheartened or frustrated on small things in life. To some extent life has returned to a normal course for them. Their admission in school with support from HOPE project has given new wings to their dreams.  Filled with vigor and enthusiasm they say, “Life has become even more BEAUTIFUL and MEANINGFUL now”.

Mumbai Smiles salutes all of them for being a fighter in life and wish them luck for great future ahead!!!
