Every child loves visiting the realm of imagination. To move away from daily routine and take part in something creative is always fun, especially for young children. This is why we recently organized a Fancy Dress event for the children studying in our preschools. The event was spearheaded by the Balwadi Project and was held on 24 September 2018.
The theme for this event was ‘Social activists, our helpers and the social life of the community’. It was a chance for the children to draw inspiration from the people they see around them every day and the social activists who work alongside their community. The event saw a turnout of over 500 children in all. There was a sea of colourful and imaginative costumes; the children enjoyed themselves thoroughly. Such extracurricular activities are vital in order to enhance the educational experience for the children and to encourage them to keep attending school. These events are also a nice way for the parents to participate in their children’s education in a fun, stress-free way.
