Another of our endeavours to do everything we can to provide good eyesight to children. We conducted another eye camp at Samata Vidya Mandir, Parerawadi, Saki Naka. This is done in order to create awareness about eye related disorders and also early detection, if any. On the first two days, a total of 1300 children were screened out of which 370 were referred for further evaluation.

DSC07219On the third day, 300 children attended the camp along with their parents. As a protocol, before further evaluation we got consent forms signed by the parent. Post evaluation a total of 114 children were identified with refractive error problem and 10 were referred for further investigation to Wadala Hospital. Spectacles distribution and further investigation are in process.

Towards the end, Mr.Kulkarni, Principal, gave an acknowledged and appreciated Aditya Jyot Foundation team and Mumbai Smiles team with a small token of appreciation for organizing the camp. One of the teachers, Ms.Uma Keluskar said, “The three days of camp were fun and much needed and the entire team were like family members.”
