Dr. Montserrat Pérez runs 42 kms for Mumbai Smiles International!
Yesterday a 42 km marathon was held in Barcelona, called Zurich Marató de Barcelona, in which many individuals and organizational representatives participated to raise funds for the different good causes. On behalf of Mumbai Smiles International, our Vice President, Dr. Montserrat Pérez participated and completed this marathon in 5 hours, 15 minutes and 365 seconds like a Champ!
Director of JAL, our partner organisation which is supporting our Infectious Diseases project in the select underprivileged communities of Mumbai, Dr. Montse is a dermatologist by profession, a leprosy expert, who ran for the cause of good health and nutrition of the tiny tots of our Preschool project. She scored the 18th place in her category and with much enthusiasm and vigour. We are so very thankful to you Dr. Montse and so very proud of you for attempting and accomplishing such a wonderful feat and for such a noble cause!
