Diabetes Testing Camp screens 50 citizens

The Infectious Diseases project recently conducted a special Diabetes Testing Camp in our project area of Vikroli. Vikroli, which is situated in the northern most region of Mumbai, almost towards the end of this megacity, is an area of contrast with skyscrapers on one side and slums on the other and hence our work in this region involves our education as well as health verticals.

The camp was successfully able to screen 50 citizens in Vikroli parksite, with general checkup in addition to blood sugar testing to check for diabetes in the citizens.

Out of the total 50 beneficiaries, while 36 were female, 14 were male, including children. This camp would not have been possible without the support of Shanti Pathology, who were there to support us with a doctor, technicians and medical equipments; and also the community leaders who provided us with logistical support. We wish to thank them for their selfless support for the betterment of our city!
