Beneficiary spotlight, Future Smiles: Hemant Khope
Hemant Khope is a beneficiary of the Future Smiles education and career guidance programme.
Hemant lost his parents when he was a child and now lives with his older brother in Dahisar, a northern suburb of Munbai. Hemant’s brother manages the home and household activities while Hemant pursues his education.
Hemant completed his SSC (Class 10 exams) from the National Institute for Open School and is currently doing a BCA-II course from Kirandevi Saraf Institute. He scored 64% in his BCA-I examination.
Hemant comes from a very poor socio-economic background and has gone through great struggles to get to the BCA level of education. A sincere, honest and hardworking student, he worked in a shop during his vacations to make some money and support his household.
In his spare time, Hemant likes to play football and volleyball and enjoys drawing and reading. He truly values the scholarships and counselling he has got under the Future Smiles programme, and we are proud to be supporting him, and are certain he will soon become an independent professional.
