The Community Health Project of Mumbai Smiles conducts regular eye check up camps for benefiting the communities in our project areas as well as school children of our Educational projects. While the privileged sections of our society can easily approach any doctor or health institution and afford regular health checkups, the underprivileged section often has to put health concerns on the backburner for want of their own financial resources or because of lack of proper guidance and social infrastructure. The main objective of our health camp is to create awareness among these underprivileged sections of society about the importance of health check-ups while also detecting health issues at an early stage for prevention or treatment.

An Eye Check up Camp was conducted, in association with Aditya Jyot Hospital, from 24th-26th November 2016 at Shivam School (one of our Higher Education project partner school) to create awareness about eye disorders and their early detection among school children.

There was a very positive response from school authorities and enthusiastic participation by children in the camp. We give our heartfelt thanks to the authorities who helped in smooth set-up and functioning as well as to the entire team of Aditya Jyot Hospital who contributed their valuable time in conducting this camp.
