1600 Sanitary Napkins donated by Inner Wheel Club for LSE Girls

In Awareness, Health, Life Skills Empowerment, Mumbai Smiles, Preschool, Thank You

Throughout the year, we at Mumbai Smiles, welcome a lot of visitors from Mumbai, other parts of India as well as other countries. Many of these visitors, be it individuals or organizational representatives, often convert into our donors, volunteers, collaborators or ambassadors to spread awareness about our cause.

One of our recent set of visitors were some wonderful ladies representing the Inner Wheel Club from Mulund Hills of northern area in Mumbai, about whom we had posted here. Having seen our work first hand and understood our vision and mission, the Inner Wheel Club decided to extend their warm support to us in the form of generous donations for our beneficiaries, including 1600 sanitary napkins (200 packets) for the girls of our Life Skills Empowerment project, as well as monetary support in the form of a cheque to sponsor the nutrition of one Preschool Centre for a month.

The four women from the Club visited us earlier this week to interact with girls of LSE too. These girls are from the previous three batches who will in turn give the sanitary napkins to the new batch that will begin in June. The Club members were very happy to meet the Girls and the Animators of the LSE project, who shared their experiences and the changes that they have noticed after getting associated with the LSE project.

We thank the Inner Wheel Club, especially the four wonderful ladies who took out the time to personally visit us, including Ms Prerna Rajpurohit (President of the Club), Ms Neenu Mahal (Member), Ms. Hardip Kaur (Member) and Ms Romi Talwar (Member). Thank you for the support; it is because of people like you and organizations like yours that encourage us to keep working hard in our attempt to make Mumbai poverty free! We hope to continue our association in the future as well.
